Two Brain Teasers to Start the Day

Who is saying this about whom?

"Hubris, sanctimony and bumptiousness leave a stench on virtually every page. Rarely have I read a political diary which has the stain of self justification leaping out from virtually every paragraph. Nothing is ever his fault."

Was it:

(a) Iain Dale about David Blunkett's autobiography?
(b) Iain Dale's actual readers (not the ones he "invents" to tell him how darn good he is his comments box) about his blog?

++ LABOUR GOVERNMENT SMELLS OF POO ++

Yesterday Nick reported on how many of the Labour backbenchers smell of poo and how Gordo, according to a co-conspirator, smells of wee.

Nick was surprised, therefore, to turn on Newsnight last night and not see any mention of this exclusive. Absorb that stunning fact.

An email was sent to Michael Crick demanding an explanation and Nick's finally received a response:

Dear Nick,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we didn't have time to run your scatalogical musings due to lack of space on the show because of the two vets down with suspected bird flu, the seventh exlosive device going off in a civil service building, the resumation of talks on North Korea's nuclear programme, and the proposals on Lords reform announced today.

Best wishes,

Michael

Nick is not impressed.

Another example of how the traditional media is drowning out the REAL stories because they don't want to offend their politician mates. But Nick isn't afraid. Nick enjoys torturing politicians.

More to come on this story soon...

The answer is of course (a), but given that the description is true of pretty much everything Dale writes on his blog, I am awarding the point to those who answered (b)

Guido Fawkes, of course! Naturally his site is far too dirty to link to - but here's something Guido related that is so, so much better.
