Nadine for Shadow Chancellor!

Pluggage first - top new cartoons from Hoby. Particularly the most recent one...

Iain Dale is blogging about the Tory reshuffle (which has raised periodic cries of "who the f*ck is that?" all over the Estate as the moves come through) but distressingly there is nothing yet on the horizon for Nadine Dorries MP, whose blog was described today in the Times diary as "excellent".

In her time on the bloggersphere, Nadine has written powerful articles on everything from how travellers should bugger off out of her constituency, and how she dropped a pair of knickers in a leisure centre car park. Political discourse is made richer by her presence.

Indeed her readers seem to think so. Sample comments:

"It is almost impossible to pass comment on your work. If one were to do so, the comment would inevitably seem shoddy in comparison to the beautiful writing. There aren’t many people who can move others to tears with the written word alone. You have a gift, you should think on that." (my personal favourite)

"I reckon your in the wrong job. You should be the weathergirl on BBC TV. No matter what the outlook, you always brighten my day!"

"I wonder how much time you get to be yourself Nadine? Very little I would imagine. Politics, politics and more politics.I really hope the day spent with your daughter in Newcastle was relatively politics free. You deserve a break!"

"Couldn't agree with you more. You are a breath of fresh air."
"Hey Lizzie, What do you know about our MP? She is known as 'the golden girl'around here. Kindness personified, but there must be something naughty she has done in her life. Go on, spill the beans, we wont tell anyone will we lads?"

"I too, have never met Nadine, but I feel I know her better than some members of my own family. She allows us into her innermost thoughts and beliefs, sometimes giving us too much information about her personal life, but always with honesty and compassion.I read the same blog over and over again, each time unearthing a hidden gem of thought that I missed previously. No tricks here Steve, just the wife, mother, daughter or friend everyone should have."

"Although I have never had the pleasure of being in Nadine's company (still awaiting the the invite),Steve, I consider myself to be a good judge of character and this lady has it by the bucketload.I have never known her to be anything other than kindness itself ( well maybe slightly catty about certain other females). Stick around Steve, you'll see it doesn't fade."

The remarkably similar grammatical errors in the last two posts - ostensibly from different people - are, of course, a coincidence.

I for one think that this is a chance for Cameron to prove that he's listening to The People. The People, on Nad's blog have spoken.

NADINE FOR SHADOW CHANCELLOR!

The campaign starts here.

The Weather Girl spot was a good one. As an MP Mad Nad makes an excellent Weather Girl. And it is even raining pervy - presumably Tory - men commenting on her dropped smalls.
